Vertical Studio Workshop in Goa on 27th -30th August 2010

 The workshop is an intensive program, where peer learning takes place across all the five student batches. A cross section of staff and students make up the design team. Practicing architects from different parts of the country are invited to work with the team for three days, which includes a weekend. At the end of the third day, all the groups present the work and an open discussion takes place. 
  The Aug '10 studio has been scheduled from the 27^th - 30^th of this month. The topic chosen for the studio this year is 'Temporary Structures in Goa's Coastal Regulatory Zone.' As one already knows, peak tourist season in Goa is between the months of September and February. A large number of temporary structures are erected during this time every year along the coast. A few such sites will be identified and are to be designed for, incorporating innovative building materials or the use of traditional materials with innovative technology and techniques.
